Role Purpose
To lead national sales operations across retail and bulk channels, strengthen market presence, build high-performing teams, and achieve sustainable growth for the organization’s core staples portfolio.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Graduation/ Bachelor’s degree from any reputed university.
  • Minimum 15 years of FMCG sales experience, especially in flour, rice, and edible oil categories.
  • Strong preference for candidates from City Group, Meghna Group, TK Group or similar top FMCG companies.
  • Proven experience in managing both retail and bulk sales channels.

  • Salary: BDT 250,000–300,000

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Market Development
  • Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive volume, revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Lead market penetration, territory expansion, route-to-market improvement, and channel activation initiatives.
  • Set annual forecasts, pricing strategies, trade programs, and KPI frameworks.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and new launches to strengthen category leadership.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead and mentor a large nationwide sales force with strong performance discipline.
  • Drive capability-building, motivation, and structured sales processes across all divisions.
  • Ensure clear target-setting, performance tracking, and periodic evaluation for continuous improvement
Channel, Trade & Key Account Management
  • Strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
  • Ensure execution of trade programs, market visibility, and merchandising standards.
  • Manage key accounts and build long-term growth partnerships across retail & bulk sectors.
Market Intelligence & Brand Strengthening
  • Track competitor pricing, distribution activities, promotions, and market dynamics.
  • Drive initiatives to improve brand strength, demand generation, and portfolio positioning.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain for production planning, inventory alignment, and timely product delivery.
  • Ensure consistent availability across regions and channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promotions, activations, and field campaigns.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, market insights, and MIS dashboards.
  • Conduct target vs. achievement analysis and competitor activity reviews.
